Casual (less than 35 hours per week) MSU Band B (Steps 1-8): $20.039 - $29.154 per hour. June 7, 2026 MacEwan University is seeking Customer Service Representative I’s for casual opportunities with our Sport and Wellness department. Reporting to the Supervisor, Customer Service, you will provide high-quality front-line service to the guests of MacEwan University Sport and Wellness in a friendly, welcoming manner that promotes a sense of belonging for all individuals and groups coming to the facility, including students, employees, and the public at large. Key responsibilities include: - Monitoring and coordinating access into and throughout the facility; - Identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate services; - Completing registration and maintenance processes for memberships, parking, locker rental, towel service, courses and services, and pro shop sales; - Managing equipment rentals and set up, laundry and other cleaning; - Responding to First Aid emergencies; - Completing risk management procedures; and - Responding to customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints. Skills You will have: - Strong written and verbal communication skills; - Organizational and time management skills, with high attention to detail; - Problem-solving and conflict management skills; - Interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a diverse range of clients and colleagues; - The ability to work without direct supervision and remain calm under pressure, in a fast-paced environment; and - Proficiency with computers and various software, including Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and SharePoint. Qualifications - A minimum of a 1-year college certificate in physical education, public relations or a related field. - A minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service, financial transactions, and the fitness and physical education fields. - Certified in Intermediate First Aid/CPR C and Automatic External Defibrillator. - Certification in Oxygen Therapy would be considered an asset. - Experience with IntelliManager software would be considered an asset. - An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Position Requirements - This position is on campus only. - The ability to work a versatile schedule, including earlier mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. - The successful incumbent will be required to obtain a Police Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check at their own cost.
