As a Recreation Assistant, you will collaborate closely with the Recreation Therapy Manager. This role involves creating and implementing therapeutic recreation initiatives, assisting in monitoring resident participation, and maintaining necessary documentation. You'll play a vital part in enriching the lives of residents through structured activities and programs.

Key Responsibilities:• Assist in developing and executing individual and group programs • Record resident attendance and participation daily • Clean and maintain therapy areas and equipment • Support new staff and volunteers during orientation • Transport residents safely using the Program Vehicle

Requirements:• Post-secondary education in Recreation Therapy or related experience • CPR and Standard First Aid certification • Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check • Experience with mental health conditions • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
