Overview
Reporting to the Supervisor, the role is responsible for operating production equipment, ensuring product quality, and supporting continuous improvement in the production area at Saputo’s facility in Edmonton, AB. Schedule: variable shift schedule – AM&PM, weekdays&weekends. Hourly rate: $27.73 to $29.14. Key Responsibilities
Safely, efficiently and effectively operate production filling machines, maintaining correct weights, packing temperatures, labels, and code dates. Run machines at required speed and meet all Health and Safety, Food Safety, and production requirements. Change over sizes, clean machines, and perform CIP/COP duties.Load and unload delivery trucks using equipment safely and efficiently. Inspect product for accuracy, report damages or discrepancies. Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic corrective actions. Maintain cleanliness of the facility and perform general housekeeping duties. Update required documentation and record shift data to support inventory tracking.Assist with unplanned tasks and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Experience in a food or dairy production environment (asset). Ability to be trained on operating multiple pieces of processing equipment. Demonstrated solid multi‑tasking, problem‑solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. Advanced mechanical and technical aptitude. PC Windows‑based O/S experience (asset).Demonstrated solid Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) understanding and compliance. Proven communication and interpersonal skills. Initiative, good judgment, diligence, and an excellent work and attendance record. Physically capable of meeting job demands (e.g., standing for long periods). Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, able to work independently with minimal supervision. Detail‑oriented with a strong commitment to safety, comfortable in a fast‑paced environment. Benefits
