Python Developer - Remote Contract (Edmonton)

Develop and maintain Python scripts to process directories of cropped .jpg images containing asset identifiers. csv format for reconciliation and audit purposes. Integrate output with reporting platforms such as Power BI for visualization and stakeholder insights. Collaborate with operations and asset management teams to validate real-world asset changes. Ensure scalability and reliability of the solution for deployment in production environments. 7+ years of experience with Python 3.x, OCR, scripting development, code repositories, and data analysis. Experience writing code, loading/installing Python modules, and using code repositories. Managing and/or working with Python virtual environments. Experience working with Excel datasets, including reading, modifying, and updating Excel sheets programmatically.
