AGLC is looking for a Project Manager to join the Project Delivery team. In this role you will provide project management rigor and leadership to ensure teams remain focused on objectives and deliverables throughout the project governance framework and stay on track to deliver comprehensive and creative business solutions. You will be responsible to lead, oversee, and ensure the successful delivery and management of project(s) within scope, quality, time, and budget. As the Project Manager, you will use your strong project management expertise to develop and maintain project documents (project plans, Gantt charts, resource management, budget, etc). You will provide group facilitation exercises to generate discussion and gain consensus on established project scope, and will be expected to identify scope changes, risks and other issues that may impact project completion or timelines. You will apply solid problem solving and strategic thinking skills to guide the team to successful solutions and navigate through issues as they arise. Your excellent leadership, relationship building, influencing, communication and political acumen skills are essential, as a major emphasis in this role is placed on client services, teamwork, and collaboration. To be successful, you will have to be a strong project leader that is capable of guiding energetic, cross‑divisional teams, to achieve outcomes. Proven strengths as a leader and a demonstrated ability to achieve results through others are necessary. Skills & Abilities - Minimum of a University Degree or Diploma in a field related to the position - Highly developed computer skills (Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office). - 4 years’ experience in leading projects. Assets: - Formal training and/or certification in project management is desirable. - Knowledge of Prince2 Project Management is desirable. - PMP is considered an asset. - 3 years’ experience in group facilitation (formal training and/or certification is desirable). - Experience using Microsoft365, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Project Online is desirable. - 3 or more years’ experience in developing and writing documents for senior management level audiences. (Experience in writing documents within a government organization is highly desirable). - Experience in budgeting, procurement, and cost controls is desirable. Eligibility and Other Requirements - To be eligible to work for AGLC, you must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or eligible to work in Canada. - As a condition of employment, you will be required to obtain a satisfactory security clearance and clean drivers abstract (if necessary) prior to employment. - Applicants with lesser qualifications may be considered at a lower classification and salary.
