Position Summary We are seeking a Maintenance and Warranty Technician to join our team. This role involves a mix of hands-on maintenance, repairs, and post-construction warranty service for our newly built homes and rental properties. The ideal candidate is versatile, detail-oriented, and skilled in a variety of trades. Key Duties and Responsibilities - Perform general handyman and maintenance tasks including minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work. - Handle warranty service requests from homeowners and clients, ensuring timely completion and quality results. - Provide ongoing maintenance and repair services for rental properties managed by Singh Builders Ltd. - Repair and install doors, locks, cabinets, blinds, light fixtures, and appliances. - Carry out drywall patching, tiling, grouting, and painting for touch-ups or repairs. - Support bathroom and kitchen renovations – replacing valves, installing tubs, taps, and shower heads. - Conduct appliance repairs and troubleshooting. - Assist with larger plumbing or mechanical repairs as needed. - Perform regular site inspections, identify warranty/maintenance issues, and prepare reports. - Respond to urgent/emergency repair calls on a rotational on-call schedule. - Ensure all work is completed to Singh Builders’ quality standards and within warranty timelines. - Maintain safe, clean, and organized work environments. Qualifications and Requirements - Minimum 2 years of experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, or in construction trades. - Experience with new home warranty service and rental property maintenance is an asset. - Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and finishing repairs. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Physically fit; able to lift, bend, and work on active construction or residential sites. - Flexible to work regular hours plus occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts. - Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
