Line Cook (Northeast Edmonton)

Job Summary We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Line Cook to join the team at Your Spot Barbeque. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, works well in a fast-paced kitchen setting, and takes pride in preparing quality meals consistently. Previous kitchen experience is preferred, but we also welcome motivated individuals who are eager to learn and grow in the culinary industry. Responsibilities - Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant standards - Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation - Assist with food prep, portioning, marinating, and stocking - Keep kitchen stations clean, organized, and sanitized - Follow food safety and health regulations at all times - Restock ingredients and supplies during shifts - Work efficiently during busy service periods - Support kitchen team members and maintain positive teamwork - Follow FIFO procedures and proper food storage practices Experience & Qualifications - Previous experience as a line cook or kitchen staff is an asset - Knowledge of grilling, frying, and basic food preparation preferred - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Strong teamwork and communication skills - Willingness to learn and take direction - Passion for cooking and kitchen work is highly valued - New applicants with strong motivation and interest in the kitchen industry are welcome to apply How to Apply Please send your resume or drop it off in person at Your Spot Barbeque - Newton.
