Plumber Helper (Edmonton)

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Plumbers Helper to assist experienced plumbers in installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the plumbing and construction industries. The ideal candidate will have a robust work ethic, a willingness to learn, and basic knowledge of mechanical systems and tools. This role is essential in supporting the successful completion of plumbing projects while adhering to safety standards and building codes. Responsibilities - Assist licensed plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings - Prepare work sites by gathering necessary tools, materials, and equipment - Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively under supervision - Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements - Measure and cut pipes or other materials accurately using basic math skills - Support carpentry and construction tasks related to plumbing installations - Perform routine maintenance on plumbing fixtures and systems as directed - Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency - Follow all safety protocols and building codes during project execution Requirements - Basic understanding of mechanical knowledge, carpentry, HVAC, or construction is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential - Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics is a plus - Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately - Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations - Prior experience or knowledge in plumbing or maintenance work is advantageous but not required - Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds regularly - Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude - Valid driver’s license preferred for travel between job sites - Must be reliable, punctual, and eager to develop technical skills in the plumbing industry Pay: From $17.00 per hour Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pt97b
