Optical Associate - Casual (Edmonton)

We’re hiring to fill a current vacancy, join our team at Optiks International - Edmonton - Mayfield Common, as an Optical Associate! Join us in making a meaningful impact on people's lives - one frame at a time. This position is a casual role working 0 to 19 hours per week. Our location is open Monday to Saturday. What You'll Do - Greet and welcome customers, manage customer check-in and check-out - Engage with customers in person, by phone, and via email - Coordinate appointments, prepare prescription printouts - Educate customers on eyewear options tailored to their lifestyle, ensuring optimal value and quality - Guide customers in selecting eyewear that combines style with optimal vision - Support frame and facial measurements alongside an Optician, ensuring proper fit and positioning of new eyewear - Assist with contact lens orders - Manage billing and payments for patients, insurers and other third parties - Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure a positive customer experience - Support store operations by performing additional duties as required What You Bring - Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within a retail environment - Previous optical experience is considered an asset - Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment - Proficiency with technology and computers, including MS Office Suite - Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for connecting with customers and providing exceptional experiences - A collaborative, adaptable, and proactive team player, able to manage changing priorities effectively How You'll Benefit - Rapid and ongoing growth, providing a consistently challenging and rewarding environment - A workplace culture that fosters collaboration and teamwork - Continuous training and development opportunities to support your career growth Why You Should Join Us solis optics, a division of FYihealth group, is your neighborhood retail optical shop, offering quality eyewear and experience to match.
