Accounting Technician (Edmonton)

Collins Capital Job Overview Collins Capital is seeking a full-time Accounting Technician to support our accounting operations and assist with day-to-day financial tasks. This position is an opportunity to be a part of a growing company with a strong team that values employee input. The position is full-time in the office, which is based in Edmonton. The Accounting Technician will report to the Operations Manager. Key Responsibilities - Record, process, and maintain accurate financial and operational data within established timelines - Track, enter, verify, and reconcile transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoices, cheques, and cheque requisitions - Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records - Analyze and reconcile general ledger and sub-ledger accounts - Prepare and maintain ad hoc and customized financial reports as required - Ensure financial records are organized, accurate, and up to date - File GST returns and T-slips - Liaise with accounting software providers and banking institutions to resolve technical issues and support system upgrades - Maintain organized financial, corporate, and tax records - Assist external accountants with year-end closing activities - Support general administrative duties as needed Skills - Minimum 5 years of relevant bookkeeping or accounting experience - Proficiency with Sage 50, QuickBooks, ADP, and Payworks - Strong financial literacy and understanding of accounting principles - Experience with bank reconciliations and financial reporting - Self-motivated with the ability to work independently - Proactive and able to anticipate company needs - Highly organized with strong attention to detail - Committed to continuous improvement and process efficiency Location: #153 10403 122 St NW Edmonton AB T5N 4C1 Pay: $52,000.00-$66,560.00 per year Perks: - Dental care - Life insurance - Vision care Application question(s): - What is your salary expectation?
