Line Cook The Blue Horse Cucina – Toronto, ON Part-time (20 hours/week to start) $21–$30 per hour depending on experience and attitude The Blue Horse Cucina is a neighbourhood Italian restaurant focused on thoughtful ingredients, handmade pasta, and simple dishes executed well. We are looking for a line cook who can run a station and execute our menu consistently during service. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a small, focused kitchen where quality and teamwork matter. Responsibilities - Run a station during service and execute dishes from our menu (pasta, grill, appetizers) - Maintain consistency and plating standards - Assist with prep and mise en place - Work cleanly and follow food safety standards - Support teammates during busy service periods - Help maintain an organized and professional kitchen environment Our Menu Includes - Handmade pastas (rigatoni, linguine pescatora, tagliatelle) - Seafood and grilled dishes - Italian antipasti and seasonal vegetables - Simple but precise Italian cooking Requirements - Previous line cook experience preferred - Ability to work efficiently during service - Good attitude and reliability - Comfortable working with pasta, seafood, and grill items - Robust sense of organization and cleanliness - Team-oriented mindset Schedule - Approximately 20 hours per week to start - Evening and weekend availability required Compensation - $21–$30/hour depending on experience and attitude - Opportunity to grow hours as the restaurant grows About Us The Blue Horse Cucina is an independent Italian restaurant focused on quality ingredients, good wine, and a welcoming neighbourhood atmosphere.
