This position emphasizes compliance and safety in a challenging operational setting. In this role, you will report to the Maintenance Superintendent and enhance structural safety and integrity. With at least five years of experience, you’ll develop cost-effective inspection programs for various facilities. Your analytical skills will ensure effective communication with different Business Units to identify engineering support requirements and manage project impacts on structures. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct inspections across pipe racks, conveyors, and more • Design a cost-effective structural inspection program • Interface collaboratively with Business Unit Teams • Stay updated on project developments impacting structures • Adhere strictly to safety and environmental regulations Requirements: • Required Engineering Degree with a focus on Civil/Structural • Must hold Qualified Engineer status in Alberta (APEGA) • Five to ten years' operational facility experience preferred • Knowledge of WCB and Alberta OH&S; standards • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Shape safety and structural solutions at our Fort McMurray facility as a Structural Engineer.
