Kitchen Designer (Fort McMurray)

Join the Team at Jos Will Millwork! For over 35 years, Jos Will Millwork has been designing, building, and installing custom cabinetry and countertops in Fort McMurray. From dream kitchens and custom built-ins to commercial millwork projects, we take pride in creating spaces that are beautiful, functional, and built to last. We’re growing and looking for a Kitchen Designer to join our team. This position is perfect for someone who loves design, enjoys working one-on-one with people, and wants to be part of bringing projects to life from concept to completion. Whether you’re a newer designer fresh out of school or someone with a few years of experience under your belt, we’d love to hear from you. At Jos Will, you won’t just sit behind a desk drawing kitchens all day. You’ll work directly with homeowners, builders, and our in-house team to create spaces people genuinely get excited about. What You’ll Be Doing - Meeting with clients in our showroom and on site - Helping clients design kitchens, vanities, built-ins, and other custom spaces - Guiding clients through selections including cabinetry, countertops, hardware, and finishes - Preparing drawings, layouts, and quotes - Taking site measurements - Working with clients through the full project journey, from first meeting to final installation - Collaborating with our shop and installation team to help projects run smoothly - Learning about cabinetry construction, functionality, and current design trends What We’re Looking For - Diploma or education in Interior Design, Architectural Technology, or a related field preferred - Experience in kitchen design or cabinetry is an asset, but not required - Experience with design software such as 20/20 or CAD programs considered an asset - Strong communication and customer service skills - Someone organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn - Interest in cabinetry, millwork, construction, or interior design - Ability to read floor plans and measurements is an asset - Valid driver’s license required Why Work With Us? - Locally owned and operated company with deep roots in Fort McMurray - Supportive team setting with experienced designers, shop staff, and installers - Opportunity to grow your design skills and gain real hands-on industry experience - Work on custom projects instead of cookie-cutter designs - Health and dental benefits - Paid time off - Monday to Friday schedule If you’re passionate about design, enjoy working with people, and want to help create spaces that families will enjoy for years to come, we’d love to meet you.
