Web Developer / Media Coordinator (Redwater)

Highfire Energy Services is a leading provider of industrial heating, boiler rentals, and energy solutions across North America. As we continue to grow, we are investing in our digital presence to better support our customers, showcase our capabilities, and streamline how we market and sell our equipment. We are seeking an experienced and versatile Web Developer to join our team and help develop, maintain, and improve multiple web platforms and internal applications across a variety of servers and environments. This role involves both front-end and back-end development, with a robust focus on practical problem-solving, performance, and long-term maintainability. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and handling everything from user-facing website development to supporting internal business applications. Front-end development will include building and customizing websites using WordPress, as well as developing custom interfaces using raw HTML and CSS when required. Back-end responsibilities will involve working with WSGI-based applications and developing robust solutions using Python and PHP. The ideal candidate must be highly proficient in: - WordPress - Python - PHP - JavaScript - HTML - CSS Applicants should also have experience developing and managing multiple websites across multiple servers, with a strong understanding of how modern web applications are structured, deployed, and maintained. Additional assets that would be considered beneficial, but are not required, include: - Experience working with MySQL databases - Familiarity with server administration and troubleshooting - Experience supporting internal or in-house web applications - Experience working with Ubuntu Linux We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of taking ownership of projects from development through deployment and ongoing support. The ideal candidate enjoys building reliable systems, solving technical challenges, and continuously improving both user experience and backend functionality.
