Boat Rigger / Marine & Powersports Service Technician Location: Gibbons, AB Pay: $24$40+/hour depending on experience Who Were Looking For You know your way around boats, sleds, ATVs and side-by-sides, or youre an automotive/heavy-duty tech whos ready to bring those skills into the marine and powersports world. Youre comfortable troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and rigging issues. Can follow a work order, care about safety, and quality. What Youll Be Doing Rigging aluminum boats with outboards, controls, hydraulic steering, gauges and accessories. Installing and repairing marine AC/DC electrical systems. Wiring electronics like sonar, navigation and communication gear in a clean, organized way. Servicing and repairing boats, Mercury engines, ATVs, SSVs and snowmobiles from major brands. Using diagnostic programs to find and fix the real problem, not just the symptom. Following repair orders accurately and updating electronic work orders with notes and pictures. Keeping your bay clean, your tools organized, and your work secure and to a high standard. Youll also help spot better ways to do things in the shop and keep up with required manufacturer training (BRP, Mercury, and related courses). Schedule, Pay, and Advantages Option of 4 x 10-hour shifts, or 5 x 8-hour shifts (depending on role and schedule). What You Bring Around 5 years experience as a boat rigger and/or service technician; automotive, heavy duty, or agricultural techs are strongly encouraged to apply. Solid mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to meet the physical demands of the job and keep up with daily schedules. Comfortable using computers for diagnostics and electronic work orders.
