Earthworks Working Foreman (Fort Saskatchewan)

Position Overview The Earthworks Working Foreman is responsible for leading and actively participating in earthworks operations on construction and aggregate projects. This hands-on role involves supervising crews while operating equipment and supporting day-to-day field activities to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications. Responsibilities - Lead and work alongside earthworks crews on excavation, grading, hauling, and site preparation activities - Operate heavy equipment as required to support project operations - Coordinate crews, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to meet project schedules - Read and interpret site plans, grades, and project specifications - Monitor work quality, productivity, and site safety performance - Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure compliance with company safety policies and regulations - Communicate with project managers, survey crews, operators, and truck drivers regarding project progress and field conditions - Assist with equipment inspections, maintenance coordination, and minor troubleshooting - Complete daily reports, time tracking, and site documentation - Identify and resolve field issues in a timely and professional manner Requirements - Previous experience in earthworks, civil construction, or heavy equipment operations - Proven experience leading crews in a construction environment - Strong understanding of grading, excavation, and site servicing operations - Experience operating heavy equipment considered a strong asset - Ability to read construction drawings and grade information - Excellent communication and organizational skills - Strong commitment to workplace safety - Valid driver’s license required - Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions - Experience mining at gravel pits is considered an asset Job Type - Full time - Permanent Benefits - Dental care - Extended health care - Vision care - Life insurance - Employee assistance program - RRSP match - On-site parking - Overtime pay Schedule - Monday to Friday - Day shift - Weekends as needed Language Requirement - English preferred - French not required Work Location - In person Pay: $38.00-$42.00 per hour Benefits: - Dental care - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - RRSP match - Vision care Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2obbac
