This position is part-time on weekdays; hours will vary depending on the season. Primary Job Description The Delivery Driver will safely and efficiently deliver all building supplies to various job sites throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas. The driver will also be responsible for unloading the truck at the drop-off sites, picking up materials at multiple vendors throughout Edmonton and the area for special orders and stock purposes for the store, and communicating with management at your successful points of travel. Specific Responsibilities Driving to and from, and delivering material to various job sites and vendors throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas Loading and unloading products for deliveries Ensuring documentation is complete and accurate Meeting daily production goals Following company health and safety policies and procedures Participating fully in things like job observations and weekly and monthly safety meetings Identifying and mitigating safety hazards Skills Required – Technical Ability to lift to 50 lbs consistently Forklift (used for offloading material on site) Class 3 driver’s licence with an air brake endorsement Clean driver’s abstract Working knowledge of safe lifting and handling methods Skills Required – Non-Technical Willing to communicate with management regarding travel log and site planning Excellent punctuality and attendance record Reliable and hardworking with a positive attitude Positive organizational, time management and prioritizing skills Excellent standards of customer service and communication Education and Experience Required Minimum 4 years of truck driving experience. Forklift operation and Class 3 licence (required).
