Lead the Way in Highway Maintenance with Ledcor Highways Ltd.
Do you have extensive highway maintenance experience and strong leadership skills? Are you committed to safety and teamwork? If so, we want you on our team!
At Ledcor Highways Ltd., we’re looking for experienced professionals to support our Foreperson and highway maintenance crews. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, organization, and safety‑first approach will help ensure the success of our team and the safety of the traveling public.
Work Conditions
Local candidates will be given preference due to the location of the work
Will be required to work shifts, on‑call, and nights as necessary
Benefits provided by CLAC
Work will be outdoors in various weather conditions
Accommodations can be provided for non‑local candidates
Essential Responsibilities
Assist leadership with daily tasks including safety toolbox meetings, equipment inspection, and road condition inspection reports
Support Foreperson in the planning of work to meet contractual milestones
Monitor the quality of work performed by the crew
Operate equipment on work sites as needed
Help ensure health, safety, and environment related concerns are addressed promptly
Qualifications
Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement and a clear 3‑year driver’s abstract
Previous supervisory experience in highway maintenance, road construction, bridges or related field is required
Snow plow experience is preferred
Strong understanding of provincial and/or municipal highway maintenance specifications
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Computer skills are an asset
Successful completion of pre‑employment drug and alcohol and audiogram testing
Rates&Premiums
Will be provided a base hourly rate of $33.75/hr
Eligible to receive premiums starting at $8/hour, when performing winter maintenance operations
Operators will be eligible to receive a premium up to $14/hour when performing winter operations as a Class 1 operator and while operating the tow plow unit
Operators who reside and work in Fox Creek will receive an additional $5/hr when performing winter maintenance operations (Applicable Oct 1 to April 30)
