This role involves working with students in need of special education services over the summer months. As a Special Education Teacher, you’ll develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), assess student progress, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure every child's needs are met. You'll promote a positive learning experience and offer conflict resolution and behavioral support when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:• Develop and maintain IEPs for students • Facilitate IEP meetings with parents and teams • Provide direct instruction aligned with IEP goals • Collaborate with general education teachers on curriculum • Advocate for student needs in a safe, supportive environment
Requirements:• Valid MN teaching license in special education • Bachelor’s Degree in Education required • Experience with school-age students needed • Knowledge of behavior management techniques • Familiarity with federal and state regulations
