(Al-Pac) is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to work out of our mill site near Athabasca, Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and technical direction to Maintenance area teams, for supporting, implementing, leading and administering Al-Pac’s-wide Reliability Maintenance Program and the ongoing, systematic process of matching Al-Pac’s critical systems with the most cost-effective maintenance strategy to maximize overall reliability. Role Responsibilities - Provide leadership to maintenance teams and ensure consistency of how maintenance programs and responsibilities are conducted. - Act as a technical resource for organization, for mechanical related items, assist in troubleshooting. - Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis - track and review information related to repeat failures of parts or equipment, continuously improving maintenance program. - Recommend and implement changes to process equipment and/or parts as a result of the completion of root cause failure analysis. - Creates maintenance corrective, preventive, risk-based and condition-based maintenance processes and tasks, creates detailed instructions. - Ensure installation tasks meet all required standards. - Developing, reviewing and approving maintenance Hazard Assessment Database protocols and improvements. - Reviewing substitutions for obsolete or discontinued parts that are required for the maintenance of organization equipment. - Provides back-up coverage for Maintenance/Reliability managers. - Provide directions and supervision to contractors during projects and shutdowns. - Management of and support for capital projects. - Generate and/or modify procedures for standard jobs and tasks to improve maintenance program. - Reviews or oversees audits on completed work orders for improvement opportunities. - Ensuring all safety mandatory documentation is completed, hazard assessments are preformed including all required learning sign offs. - Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards. - Self-directed to perform to ensure high-priority tasks get done. Role Requirements - Alberta-certified Journeyperson. - RCM certification preferred, or a minimum level 1 RCM Certification within 6 months of appointment - 10+ years’ experience in mechanical related trade or manufacturing/forestry service maintenance. - Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) an asset Other - Ability to prioritize, manage time well, multitask and troubleshoot. - Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills are also essential because document control specialists regularly communicate with internal and external business partners. - Ability to work independently. - Ability to work effectively under pressure, with changing priorities, deadlines, and to readily adapt to change. - Accuracy in processing - Knowledge and skill in meeting deadlines with multiple duties and tasks. - Ability to work under pressure, changing priorities, deadlines, and adapt to change.
