Description

Sto Canada (Sto), a global innovation leader of building enclosure systems and high-performance facade coatings, is seeking a Sales & Customer Support Specialist. The purpose of this position is to provide primary inside sales and customer support at our Calgary Sales Centre. In addition, this role will manage customer inquiries, order processing, and account relationships across in-person, phone, and email channels. The role also carries advanced responsibility for distribution and logistics coordination, including import compliance and shipment management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities -

Inside Sales & Customer Support:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, product questions, and order status updates.
  • Support outside sales representatives with quotations, sample requests, and account follow-up.
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships to support retention and repeat business.
  • Process and manage orders in SAP following ISO procedures.

Order & Logistics Coordination:

  • Act as the primary contact for distribution and logistics partners, managing CARM and compliance with import requirements.
  • Coordinate order requirements with distributors, plants, and third-party logistics partners.
  • Process and manage inbound product and materials shipments.
  • Communicate with the credit management team regarding customer account receivables and collections.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance logistics efficiency.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities -

Software Requirements:

  • Required: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in SAP and Microsoft 365 Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Preferred: Experience with CRM systems, specifically Salesforce.com.
  • Inside Sales & Customer Focus: Demonstrated ability to support sales activity and manage customer relationships in a product-based environment.
  • Communication: Strong organizational, interpersonal, and clear communication skills.
  • Reliability: Dependable, self-starting, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, supply chain, or a related field considered an asset.
  • 3–5 years of experience in inside sales or customer service; experience in a product-based or trade environment an asset.
  • Comfort managing order workflows and coordinating with logistics partners.
  • Preferred: Background in building materials, construction products, or specialty cladding systems (EIFS, stucco, or exterior wall assemblies considered a strong asset).
