Civil Foreman (Fort Saskatchewan)

Job Overview: Gunther Construction has been in the construction industry for over 50 years. We have a wide range of industrial and commercial experience. Currently, we are looking for a Civil Foreman to oversee the excavation work and install of concrete foundations. Job Scope: - Supervise and coordinate daily site activities and crew assignments - Read and interpret drawings, grades, elevations, and site plans - Oversee excavation, subgrade preparation, compaction, and backfill operations - Ensure proper layout and preparation for concrete foundations and related civil work - Coordinate equipment, materials, subcontractors, and manpower - Maintain quality control and ensure work meets project specifications - Enforce site safety standards - Track progress and report site productivity/issues Requirements: - Proven experience as a Foreman or similar role in the construction industry - Strong knowledge of construction processes (grades + elevations, site layout, base prep. + compaction, backfill) - Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings - Experience operating or coordinating heavy equipment is an asset - Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team - Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with various parties - Valid driver's license - Be able to pass a drug and alcohol test Job Types: Full time, Permanent Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour Benefits - Dental care - Employee assistance program - Extended health care - RRSP match - Vision care Ability to commute/relocate: - Fort Saskatchewan, AB T8L 3T9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Licence/Certification: - Driving Licence (required) - CSTS 2020 (required) - Ground Disturbance (preferred) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pckt4
