Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our organization through the remaining season and towards achieving its strategic goals. The ideal candidate will possess solid leadership skills, a proven track record in operational management, and the ability to drive performance across aspects of the golf course. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture. Duties - Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness across all departments. - Develop and implement business strategies that align with course objectives. - Lead, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve high levels of performance. - Monitor financial performance and implement cost-control measures as necessary. - Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including members, vendors, and partners. - Develop risk management strategies to protect the clubs assets and reputation, ensureing compliance with industry regulations, OH&S; and company policies. - Analyze local and industry market trends and adapt strategies accordingly to maintain competitive advantage. - Facilitate effective communication between departments to ensure alignment on goals and initiatives. - Employ and support ongoing strategic extreme weather turf management strategies. - Prepare reports for the executive/ board of directors regarding operational performance and strategic recommendations. Experience - Proven experience as a Golf Course General Manager and Superintendent or in other managerial positions within a relevant industry. - Strong understanding of corporate finance, performance management principles, and operational best practices. - Extensive experience hosting golf tournaments and social events. - Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams. - Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities. - Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics. - Education in Golf Course Management, Turff Management or a degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
