Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Interior Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to interior surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that meet project specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of various painting techniques, safety procedures, and the ability to work efficiently within a team environment. Experience with blueprint reading, hand tools, power tools, and other construction-related skills is highly valued. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to diverse projects, from residential to commercial spaces, with a focus on precision and craftsmanship. Responsibilities - Prepare interior surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion. - Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and other tools. - Follow blueprints and schematics to accurately execute painting plans according to project specifications. - Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for surface preparation and finishing tasks. - Assist with related construction tasks such as drywall repair, moving furniture, washing floors, etc. - Operate heavy equipment or scaffolding safely when required for high or hard-to-reach areas. - Maintain a clean work environment by properly disposing of waste materials and organizing tools and supplies. - Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations during all phases of work to ensure a safe workplace for everyone. Skills - Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics for accurate project execution. - Experience with hand tools such as scrapers, putty knives, brushes, rollers, and caulking guns. - Familiarity with construction processes including framing, drywall installation, restoration work, and concrete finishing. - Ability to operate power tools like sanders, sprayers, drills, and saws safely. - Knowledge of construction estimating principles is a plus for assessing project scope and materials needed. - Skills in carpentry, cabinetry installation, flooring installation, tile laying, plumbing basics, electrical experience, masonry work, welding, or heavy equipment operation are advantageous but not mandatory. - Solid attention to detail with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship in interior finishing projects. - Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining safety standards. This position offers an engaging opportunity for experienced painters with diverse construction skills to contribute meaningfully to various projects while honing their craft within a professional environment.
