- Work Term: Permanent - Work Language: English - Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week - Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate - Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Tasks - Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs - Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements - Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials - Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems - Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware - Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites - Instruct apprentices - Estimate costs and materials Screening questions - Are you available for shift or on-call work? - Are you available to start on the date listed in the job posting? - Do you have experience working in this field?
