Seasonal Highway Maintenance Operator Needed, Eastern Alberta (St. Paul)

Join EMCON SERVICES INC. in Wandering River as a Seasonal Highway Maintenance Operator. This role demands expertise in driving plow trucks and maintaining road infrastructure during winter months.

As a member of the AUPE union, this position offers accommodations while focusing on essential road maintenance tasks. You'll be involved in driving heavy equipment, repairing signs, and managing the upkeep of vital road features. A valid AB Driver’s Licence is a must, with Class 3 as the minimum and Class 1 preferred.

Key Responsibilities:• Drive plow trucks for effective snow control • Repair and install road signs and guiderails • Maintain ditches and culverts for safe driving conditions • Execute various road maintenance tasks as needed • Follow safety and operational protocols while using equipment

Requirements:• Must have a valid AB Driver’s Licence (Class 3 minimum) • Class 1 Driver’s Licence preferred • Pre-employment drug screening required • Experience in highway maintenance preferred • Résumé and driver's abstract submission needed
