Bar Manager (Fredericton)

We are currently in search of a Bar Manager for a long established, quick paced Sports Bar located in Fredericton, NB. We specialize in Sporting Events, Live Music, Karaoke and group bookings. This is a unique opportunity for a self starter that is looking to raise the profile of an already popular spot. Bar Manager Job Responsibilities: - Maintains inventory. - Creates drink menus. - Determines employees’ schedules. - Ensures bar is well-stocked and clean. - Tracks customer behavior and sales. - Maintains budget and monitors costs. - Maintains drink recipe documentation. - Oversees planning for special events. - Appropriately delegates tasks to staff. - Selects and purchases liquor and other supplies. - Oversees staff, including bartenders and barbacks, and bouncers - Hires, trains, promotes, and, when necessary, disciplines or fires staff. - Selects music, books bands, and provides input on décor and marketing, including social media and other forms of publicity. - Initiates and maintains vendor relationships. - Uses point-of-sale tracking technology and bar and restaurant management platforms. Working hours are a combination of Day and Night shifts and Salary to be determined. Bar Manager Qualifications/Skills: - Accomplished mixologist. - Excellent multitasking ability. - Problem-solving skills. - Interpersonal relationship skills. - Attention to detail. - Strong leadership ability. - Organizational skills. - Customer service skills. - Knowledge of food, beverage, and hospitality industries. - Calm under pressure - Able to maintain restraint in stressful situations. - Ability to deescalate tense interactions. - Judgment and creativity. - Enthusiasm and lots of energy. Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements: - High school diploma or GED. - Associate’s degree or higher in hotel and restaurant management a plus. - NB server certification - Prior experience working in a bar or restaurant. - Supervisory experience. - Familiarity with point-of-sale tracking technology and bar and restaurant management platforms Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2nxxs2
