Grounds Maintenance Worker- Summer Student (Waasis)

Overview Summer Students returning to school only please. We are seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. This role is through the Canada Summer Jobs program. This role involves hands-on work with gardening, landscape upkeep, and shop maintenance. Responsibilities - Perform landscaping duties including planting, pruning, mowing, and fertilizing to maintain aesthetic appeal and plant health - Operate lawn mowing machinery and other equipment safely and efficiently - Use hand tools and power tools for trimming, and other maintenance tasks - Maintain cleanliness of work sites, including work shop ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times - Perform routine mechanical checks on equipment and tools and perform basic troubleshooting or repairs as needed - Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while adhering to safety standards Candidates should be prepared for physically demanding tasks requiring attention to detail and safety.
