In general, the employee performs his or her duties under the supervision and according to the instructions of a maintenance workman of a higher class, as caretaker, or a foreman. Description of tasks - Dusts, cleans, washes, and waxes the furniture and the woodwork - Vacuums the carpeting, sweeps the floors - Places light furniture - Empties and cleans waste baskets and ashtrays - Washes windows, venetian blinds, and blackboards - In a laundry room, may be assigned duties such as the care and preparation of linen - If need be, performs any other related duty.
