Experience Required: Minimum 8-12 years of Experience Job Location: Canada Job Type: Remote Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP SD Consultant with deep expertise across end-to-end SAP Sales & Distribution processes, including strong integration with SAP IBP, Production Planning, and revenue-related finance processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in complex Order-to-Cash transformations, Make-to-Order business scenarios, cross-functional SD-PP dependencies, data migration activities, and 3PL integration. This role requires strong solution design capability, business-facing consulting skills, and the ability to deliver scalable, compliant, and high-quality SAP solutions across sales execution, supply planning integration, and revenue recognition alignment. Key Responsibilities - Lead Org structure redesign: sales org ↔ company code linking, sales areas, shipping points, and plant reassignment. - Harmonize SD processes across entities: sales docs, deliveries, billing, credit, partner determination, ATP, output forms, tax, pricing. - Drive pricing & tax alignment across merged entities. - Lead customer master, credit master, and partner function harmonization and data cleanup. - Define strategy for open orders, deliveries, billing documents, and revenue-relevant sales documents during transition. - Co-own SD data migration: customers, pricing, credit, output conditions, and sales contract data. IBP Integration and Supply Chain Planning Alignment - Drive integration of SAP SD execution processes with SAP IBP demand and supply planning flows. - Support ATP and demand fulfillment scenarios aligned with IBP forecasting, allocation, and supply confirmation. - Collaborate with IBP and supply planning teams to ensure correct translation of demand into sales order execution. - Support key integration touchpoints between IBP, S/4 SD, and downstream manufacturing/distribution execution. Make-to-Order and SD-PP Integration Focus - Lead Make-to-Order (MTO) process design including sales order-driven production and delivery fulfillment. - Validate and configure SD-PP integration for requirements planning, production orders, and delivery scheduling. - Ensure seamless linkage between sales orders, planned orders, production execution, and final billing. - Support complex scenarios involving configurable materials, scheduling agreements, and customer-specific production. Revenue Accounting and RAR Sales-Side Support - Ensure SD billing and contract structures are aligned with SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) requirements. - Support revenue-relevant configuration for sales contracts, performance obligation triggers, and billing event alignment. - Partner with Finance/RAR teams to validate that SD execution supports IFRS15/ASC606 compliant revenue recognition. - Assist in testing and reconciliation of billing-to-revenue postings for complex sales scenarios. Core Delivery Responsibilities - Validate integration with MM/PP/FI/WM/EWM after plant reassignment. - Drive SD-specific cutover plans, transport sequencing, and mock runs. - Configure & support end-to-end OTC cycle. - Strong expertise in pricing, billing, ATP, shipping, credit management, returns. - Intercompany, third-party, consignment, and subcontracting integration (SD-MM). - Prepare functional specs for RICEFs, work with ABAP teams, perform UT/SIT/UAT. - Support hyper care & stabilization post go-live. - Conduct workshops, requirement gathering, and process mapping with business users. Interfaces, IDocs, and 3PL Integration - Hands-on experience with IDoc configuration, partner profile setup (WE20), port definitions (WE21), monitoring (WE02/WE05), reprocessing (BD87), and error resolution. - Work with middleware teams to troubleshoot mapping and interface failures. - Define interface functional specs, mapping documents, and execute end-to-end testing. - Experience integrating SAP with 3PL systems for shipment execution, confirmations, invoicing, and warehouse coordination. - Work with 3PL providers for interface testing, connectivity checks, SLA monitoring, and issue resolution. Required Skills - 8 - 12 years of SAP SD configuration and delivery experience. - Robust knowledge of: - Pricing (condition types, routines, access sequences) - Output management (SAP Script/Smart Forms/Adobe) - IDocs, EDI, RFCs, BAPIs - Delivery scheduling, route determination - Credit/Returns/Claims processes - Third party, Consignment, and Intercompany scenarios - Make-to-Order process design and SD-PP integration - SAP IBP integration touchpoints with demand execution - Revenue-relevant SD configuration supporting RAR outcomes - Experience in designing custom enhancements, user exits, BADIs, and BDCs (functional understanding). - Data Migration, IBP alignment, and 3PL Integration experience.
