Production systems operator (Granby)

Job description: The Production Systems Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring automated production machines in order to achieve company targets, production efficiency and quality standards. The employee must be able to operate multiple automated production systems including accumulation tables, labelers, fillers, cappers, tightening systems, coding systems with ink or laser, Kuka robotic systems, box loaders, box formers, box closers and palletizers. The employee must maintain the expected level of competency for production operations and machine performance in accordance with operational procedures and skill assessments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Operates and monitors multiple automated production machines according to specifications and operational procedures. - Recognizes and detects machine out-of-tolerance conditions and performs operational adjustments as required. - Performs trial runs to verify machine settings and production data accuracy. - Checks product conformity according to quality specifications using gauges, scales and measuring instruments. - Recognizes and resolves minor machine malfunctions and production inconsistencies during operations. - Provides necessary operational information to manufacturing teams, technical teams and supervisors for documentation purposes. - Completes production reports and operational documentation using Microsoft Office 365 tools including Excel, Word and Outlook. - Works independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with minimal supervision. - Performs tooling checks and machine adjustments to maintain production efficiency. - Follows company health and safety procedures and manufacturing standards. What We Are Looking For: - Experience operating automated manufacturing or industrial production equipment. - Ability to work with computerized production systems and machine interfaces. - Good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 including Excel, Word and Outlook. - Ability to complete production reports and operational documentation. - Functional English required to communicate with supervisors, technical staff, production employees and to understand production documentation and machine interfaces. - Ability to read and interpret technical handling labels, procedures and production instructions. - Good analytical and problem-solving skills. - Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor machine adjustments. - Ability to work with numbers, production data and manufacturing specifications. - Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, crouch and perform repetitive physical tasks.
