Heavy Equipment Operator/Driver - Utilities (Grande Prairie)

RAHCAR Power Corp. Is a growing company in the Utility Construction and Maintenance Industry. We are looking for two highly-motivated individuals to join our team as a Heavy Equipment Operator, based out of Grande Prairie Alberta. Responsibilities for this position include: - The majority of your time will be driving and operating of derrick digger trucks, as well as operating heavy equipment (back-hoe/track-hoe) safely and efficiently. - Performing daily safety and maintenance checks/log books. - Complete routine fueling and general maintenance. - Practicing workplace safety. - Ensuring heavy equipment is safely and securely stored. - Advising the Supervisor of any requirements for maintenance or repair. - Assisting team utility workers as required. Requirements / Preferred Qualifications: - Must be living in Grande Prairie area or willing to relocate prior to starting position. - Minimum 3-5 years of experience operating heavy equipment (skilled in trenching). A large portion of this role will be trenching. - Effective verbal and listening communication skills. - Ability to understand and effectively execute verbal and written directions. - Adheres to company Health, Safety, & Environmental reporting and standard assessments. - Must possess a valid class 1 or 3 drivers license. - Knowledge in basic repairs considered an asset. - Safety conscious. - Detail orientated. - Good organization and communication skills.
