Location: West Niagara (Grimsby & Smithville) Job Type: Volunteer Organization: The FORT – Foundation of Resources for Teens About Us The FORT is a non-profit youth centre offering free programs, resources, and support for young people ages 11–18 in West Niagara. Our mission is to provide a secure, inclusive space where youth can connect, learn, and grow. Position Overview We are seeking dedicated and community-focused individuals to join our Board of Directors. As a Volunteer Board Member, you will help guide the strategic direction of the organization and support our long-term sustainability. Responsibilities Attend monthly board meetings (virtual or in-person) Participate in strategic planning and governance discussions Support fundraising, community outreach, and special initiatives Review budgets, policies, and organizational reports Act as an ambassador for The FORT within the community Participate in occasional subcommittee work as needed Qualifications While we welcome applicants from all backgrounds, we are specifically seeking individuals with experience in the following fields: Business, finance, law, marketing, HR, non-profit leadership, or community development Previous board or governance experience (an asset but not required) Solid communication, teamwork, and strategic thinking skills A passion for youth empowerment and community impact Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older Must be able to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check upon joining Comfortable attending meetings and contributing to organizational planning What You Gain A meaningful prospect to positively impact youth across West Niagara Experience in governance, leadership, and community development A chance to be part of a passionate and supportive team Job Type: Freelance Pay: $1.00 per year Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2ok070
