Role Summary The Senior Network & Computer Technician is a hands-on technical role with added responsibility for complex troubleshooting, mentoring peers, and supporting service quality. This is not a formal management role; however, the successful candidate will provide informal leadership through expertise, collaboration, and professionalism. Key Responsibilities Lead resolution of complex desktop, server, and network issues Perform advanced troubleshooting across infrastructure, backups, and cloud services Support and mentor technicians through peer guidance and knowledge sharing Ensure accurate, timely ticket documentation and time entry Assist with customer remediation, stabilization, and follow-up work Adhere to internal standards for customer communications and commitments Identify recurring issues and suggest practical improvements Required Qualifications 5 years of experience in IT support, preferably in an MSP environment Strong networking experience (firewalls, switches, VPNs, Wi-Fi) Solid understanding of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and backups Proven ability to work independently on complex issues Professional, calm, and customer-focused communication style Preferred Qualifications Experience with virtualization, cloud migrations, or DR/BC solutions Prior experience mentoring or supporting junior technicians Relevant technical certifications (Microsoft, networking, security) What We Offer Competitive senior-level compensation Meaningful technical work with real customer impact Chance to influence service quality and team capability Stable workplace focused on execution and accountability Job Type: Full-time Pay: $26.00-$31.25 per hour Benefits Casual dress Dental care Extended health care Life insurance On-site parking Paid time off Vision care Ability to commute/relocate: Grimsby, ON L3M 4H4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred) Education: Bachelor's Degree (required) Experience: IT support: 5 years (required) Language: English (required) Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (required) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2p4eo5
