Geotechnical Field Services Lead (Guelph)

JLP Services Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Geotechnical Field Services Lead. JLP currently provides a range of Geotechnical Services, including but not limited to: Materials Testing and Inspection, Geotechnical Investigation, Slope Stability Analysis and Foundation Design and Recommendations. Please note that position requires a minimum of 12 years of local southwestern Ontario experience. Role Responsibilities: The Geotechnical Field Services Lead will oversee training, leading and a team of field technicians. Management and coordination of a wide variety of materials testing and inspection projects, not limited to industrial, commercial, residential developments and road reconstruction/rehabilitation projects. The work may involves completing site visits, meetings, complex footing and subgrade inspections as well as troubleshooting of on-site issues that may arise during earthworks activities. Qualifications: Civil Engineering diploma, preferably with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering and/or Civil Engineering. CCIL Certifications Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, organizational and critical thinking skills Excellent oral and written communication skills, including technical writing ability. An understanding of materials testing and inspection, road reconstruction, rebar inspection and general construction practices. Education and Experience: Diploma or degree in Environmental Science or Civil Engineering.
