We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented individual to join our team at the Village by the Arboretum in the part time position of Weekend Custodian to join our team. This role supports our Facilities Team with providing building operation services and monitoring of primary equipment within the property’s recreation centre, condominium buildings, medical centre and gate house. The Village by the Arboretum is an award-winning adult lifestyle community in Guelph and is currently home to over 1200 residents. If you enjoy working independently and collaboratively with others, handle pressure well, and have the communication skills needed to interact with residents in a friendly, respectful, and helpful way on a daily basis, this opportunity is for you. Reporting to the Facility Supervisor, Village by the Arboretum (VBA), you will provide cleaning services and set up for functions for the residents in the Village centre on a daily basis. You understand sanitary and institutional cleaning principles. You also hold a valid Class G driver’s license. You must be able to lift up to 20 kg, and work at heights. The Custodian we seek will have the following skills and qualifications: - Follow and consistently demonstrate Reid's Heritage Homes Core Values Customer Service: - Interact in a friendly, respectful and helpful way with the residents - Speak knowledgably with service people and suppliers Service Work: - Perform general housekeeping and janitorial tasks - Complete daily pool and spa testing and pool maintenance - Assist with activity setups - Maintenance and setting up of outdoor amenities - Manage coffee stations - Perform tasks assigned by the Facilities Supervisor Other: - Additional responsibilities may be discussed in advance as needed.
