Software Support Engineer (Remote – Canada) We are seeking a highly motivated Software Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a problem-solving enthusiast with a passion for tackling complex technical challenges. Location: Remote within Canada Contract Duration: 6 months. Highly likely to be extended What You’ll Do - Provide advanced technical support and resolve escalated issues from L1 and L2 support teams - Perform in-depth root cause analysis for complex technical challenges - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, and Support to deliver effective solutions - Develop and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles - Improve support processes and workflows to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery - Write, maintain, and debug Python and Java code - Optimize database queries and procedures for Neo4j and PostgreSQL - Support debugging, deployment, and environment setup using Docker, AWS, and Kubernetes - Required Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in software development or technical support roles - Strong backend development expertise in Python and Java - Hands-on experience with Spring frameworks including: - Spring MVC - Spring Boot - Spring Data - Strong knowledge of databases, particularly: - Neo4j (Graph DB) - PostgreSQL - Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and RESTful APIs - Solid understanding of: - Algorithms - Data structures - Database design - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global team environment Nice to Have - Experience with: - ElasticSearch - Kafka integration - BPMN workflows - Drools - Frontend development skills using: - TypeScript - JavaScript - HTML/CSS - Angular 2+ - Domain experience in: - Telecom - OSS - Inventory Management - Familiarity with testing frameworks such as: - Protractor - Jasmine - JUnit - Certifications are a plus: - AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate - CKA: Certified Kubernetes Administrator - CKAD: Certified Kubernetes Application Developer - Why Join Us? - Fully remote opportunity within Canada - Work on challenging technical problems in a collaborative environment - Chance for long-term engagement beyond the initial contract - Exposure to modern cloud-native technologies and enterprise-scale systems Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2o0zdu
