Co-op Software Developer - Dashboards (Guelph)

We currently have an opening for a Co-op Software Developer - Dashboards for an 8 month placement, come grow with us! This 8 month co-op will start in September 2026. JOB OVERVIEW: This position is under the supervision of the Software Development Manager and is responsible for design, development and support of various business applications and systems. The student will design and develop software toolsets to support department collaboration and automation as well as design and develop integrations to streamline business processes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Application Design and Development: - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Develop high-quality software solutions using various programming languages, frameworks, and tools. - Create and maintain efficient, scalable, and secure code. - Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement Software Integrations: - Collaborate with other teams to design and develop integrations between systems. - Streamline business processes by creating seamless data flows. - Ensure data consistency and accuracy across integrated platforms. End-user Training: - Prepare and deliver training materials for end-users. - Conduct workshops or sessions to educate users on newly implemented software. - Address user questions and provide guidance on system usage. - Promote best practices and ensure effective utilization of software tools. Application Support: - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to existing applications. - Provide timely support to end-users and address their queries. - Ensure system stability and reliability QUALIFICATIONS: - Currently enrolled as a student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for software development. - Prior experience in the following technologies such as Power BI, Azure Power Platform, UI design. - Familiarity with SQL, SharePoint, JavaScript, C#. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
