Step into a crucial role as a Tool Designer at a Tier 1 & Tier 2 manufacturing facility in the KWC region. Focus on tooling development and process advancements within the Press Shop. As a Tooling Engineer, you'll create layouts using CAD software and lead Continuous Improvement initiatives. Your collaboration with the Logistics team will facilitate suitable packaging solutions, while your adherence to safety and process standards ensures a secure work setting. Your mechanical design skills will support the successful integration of current dies into production. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement concept layouts with CAD software Assist in technical improvements in the Press Shop Champion productivity and quality in Continuous Improvement efforts Define packaging solutions in collaboration with Logistics Support the integration of current stamping dies Requirements: Ontario College Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Design Experience in progressive and transfer tool design Proficiency in SOLID EDGE or similar CAD systems Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing Knowledge of In-Die Insertion is a plus Elevate tooling processes and workplace safety with your expertise in this KWC manufacturing role.
