Maintenance Manager (Guelph)

A well-established manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join their team. This opportunity plays a critical role in ensuring the protected, reliable, and efficient operation of plant equipment and facilities within a dynamic production environment. The Role As Maintenance Manager, you will lead all maintenance activities with a strong emphasis on health, safety, and compliance. You will mentor a skilled maintenance team, maintain and enhance a preventive maintenance program, and collaborate closely with departments to uphold plant safety and product quality standards. Key Responsibilities - Provide leadership, coaching, and development for maintenance staff. - Oversee and maintain an effective Preventive Maintenance (PM) program that prioritizes equipment safety and operational reliability. - Conduct root cause analyses on equipment failures or incidents to minimize safety hazards and prevent recurrence. - Manage maintenance budgets, equipment inventories, and capital projects . - Promote continuous improvement initiatives that enhance both safety performance and production efficiency. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. - Proven supervisory experience leading maintenance teams in a manufacturing or industrial environment. - Skilled in reading and interpreting electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic blueprints and schematics. - Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and team-building skills emphasizing safety leadership and compliance.
