Research Laboratory Technician in Halifax

Become a Research Laboratory Technician at IWK Health in Halifax, Nova Scotia. IWK Health is seeking a dedicated Research Laboratory Technician. In this full time position starting June 2026, you will perform various lab assays under GLP standards. You will also support specimen processing, maintain records, and ensure lab equipment operates smoothly. Key Responsibilities: - Carry out assays including PCR, ELISA, and microimmunassays - Calculate, check, and report assay results accurately - Receive, process, and pick up specimens as needed - Maintain accurate specimen records and databases - Operate lab equipment and perform maintenance tasks Requirements: - Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a relevant field - Minimum 3 years of related experience - Strong problem-solving and leadership skills - Excellent time management abilities - Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) preferred Leverage your technical expertise in a role integral to successful research at IWK Health.
