The Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, verifying, storing, and transporting products in a safe and efficient manner. Associates maintain a tidy warehouse and may lift and carry heavy items. Tasks&Responsibilities
Customer Service
Provide necessary supporting processes to enhance overall customer experience. Maintain housekeeping disciplines in the warehouse to facilitate product location by all staff. Respond to and handle customer and staff inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly. Deliver and assemble merchandise as required.Operations
Receive, scan, verify, and store incoming and overstock products per procedures and policies. Ship returns and complete proper paperwork. Reconcile inventory differences. Prepare merchandise for filing, sort and fill merchandise carts for the retail floor. Handle garbage disposal, cardboard recycling, and broken product disposal per store policy.Process damaged and returned claims. Repair broken packages as needed. Report stolen and damaged goods to management. Operate computer and scanning tools, entering relevant codes in Canadian Tire systems. Operate warehouse equipment (forklift, skyjack, etc.) safely and in compliance with policy.Handle dangerous goods and hazardous products according to established procedures. Participate in warehouse team meetings, training, and continuous improvement discussions. Engage in learning activities and use feedback to improve personal performance. Comply with company, store, and warehouse policies.Adhere to health and safety programs and report any hazards immediately. Maintain professional language, appearance, and grooming when interacting with others. Complete other tasks as required. Requirements
Ability to start working at 6 a.m. Knowledge of warehouse and store layout. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Basic math and computer skills. Willingness to work in other areas of the store (asset). Certification in operating warehouse equipment (asset). Work experience in a warehouse/distribution environment or Canadian Tire store (asset).
