Adecco is currently hiring an Apprentice Welder for a full time opportunity in Halifax. This role is ideal for a skilled trades professional with strong welding experience who enjoys working in a shipyard or industrial environment. Perform SMAW and FCAW welding in all positions (1-4) according to blueprints and specifications Operate manual and semi-automatic welding, flame-cutting, and air arc (carbon arc) equipment Select appropriate filler materials and safely position heavy steel components Work within fabrication, maintenance, and repair environments in a shipyard settingQualifications

Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada Valid Welder Trade Certification (union tickets not accepted) Current 4-position SMAW and 4-position FCAW tickets Confined Space, Fall Protection, and WHMIS certifications Completion of Journeyman certification or registered apprenticeship Ability to pass Government Security Clearance (background and credit check)LOA eligibility requires a utility bill matching driver's license Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions Must have full PPE including a fit-tested respirator
