IT Analyst (Halifax)

Responsibilities - Champion the Digital & Data Engineering message to the business - Provide level 1-2.5 support for hardware, software, and network problems reported, documenting problems and solutions as required - Assist in 1st and 2nd level hardware and software support when required - Liaise with and participate in solving 3rd level complex or unsolved problems - Manage, support, and ensure operating viability of mobile devices, Windows PCs, and MacBooks, including imaging, provisioning, and reporting abnormalities - Manage, support, and ensure operating viability of jobsite network infrastructure, including configuring firewalls, switches, wireless access points, wireless bridges, security cameras, signal boosters, VoIP phones, DMZ networks, and other systems unique to specific jobsites - Ensure 24/7 availability and performance of the network that supports our systems, including on‑call responsibilities - Project Management duties, including determining business requirements, obtaining quotes from vendors for new construction projects such as jobsite copiers, digital displays, security systems, and other miscellaneous IT items - Project deployment duties, including hardware setup and configuration, setting up conference rooms, and assisting with hosting web conferences via MS Teams, Zoom, and Webex as required - Follow and maintain EllisDon IT policies, documentation, and best‑practice guidelines - Escalate technical issues when necessary, provide excellent customer service, and stay current with IT trends and advancements - Follow EllisDon IT Security best practices and guidelines and contribute to the library of Standard Operating Procedures - Maintain records within ServiceNow - Coordinate IT services and support for jobsites - Assist on corporate network maintenance tasks when required Qualifications - Post‑secondary degree or diploma in a related field - Minimum 4 years of IT support experience, including troubleshooting advanced issues - Full‑time office position - Eligible to obtain Secret Level2 security clearance - Preferred industry certifications: CCNA, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+; desired Microsoft certifications - Solid understanding of LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, and Ethernet - Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for coordinating IT services and traveling between jobsites/offices Benefits & Compensation - Salary range: $60,000 – $70,000 Equal Opportunity & EEO Statement We are an equal prospect employer.
