Job Summary: The service technicians’ primary function is to travel to site for enclosure installation and warranty issues. Handle, move, load, and unload material, mostly heavy metal, by hand or using a variety of material handling equipment. Responsibilities: 1. Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, sketches, diagrams, product specifications, and understand tolerances to determine assembly operations. 2. Rig, hoist, move and align subassemblies and components within the worksite using overhead cranes and forklifts using established safety precautions. 3. Fit and assemble simple parts to build heavy industrial machinery and equipment according to site installation drawings and product specifications. 4. Documenting processes to ensure proper record keeping and produce detailed service reports 5. Inspect, test, examine and investigate parts, subassemblies, and finished products to ensure quality and detect irregularities and malfunctions. 6. Assist in performing in office installation, servicing, and repair for commissioning or warranty work on customer finished products. 7. Ensure standards for safe working conditions are observed following the Occupational Health and Safety Act and participate in regular safety talks. Perform a visual inspection of equipment, to ensure they are in safe working condition. 8. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: 1. Apprenticeship in Industrial Mechanic Millwright preferred. 2. Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in a heavy industrial equipment environment, preferably within the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, or Mining sectors. 3. Ability to travel within North America with a valid passport and driver's license. 4. Must have own tools. AVL offers a competitive compensation package with exceptional benefits.
