Pharmacy Assistant (Hamilton)

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy. You will be responsible for assisting with medication administration, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals. Responsibilities - Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately. - Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper storage of medications. - Provide patient care by answering questions, offering guidance on medication usage, and addressing concerns under the supervision of a pharmacist. - Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient information in compliance with regulations. - Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy workspace to promote a safe setting for staff and patients. - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate effective communication regarding patient medication needs. Skills - Proficiency in medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare providers and patients. - Experience or knowledge in medication administration practices. - Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and customer service. - Familiarity with hospital settings or pharmacy technician duties is a plus. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks performed.
