Lead the shipboard machinery operation as a Chief Engineer prioritizing safety and maintenance. Your expertise will ensure dependable performance of vital systems aboard vessels. As a Chief Engineer, your role encompasses the management of engineering teams and the oversight of maintenance projects. You will ensure compliance with safety policies while effectively troubleshooting machinery issues and addressing oil pollution response. Your robust communication skills will enhance teamwork among personnel during safety drills and performance reviews. Key Responsibilities: - Manage engineering staff and ensure safety compliance - Utilize SINEX for effective supply management - Initiate preventative maintenance projects efficiently - Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs - Supervise machinery operation and fuel monitoring Requirements: - First-Class Engineer license (Motor III/2) from Transport Canada - Advanced firefighting and survival craft training - SOTT Certificate of Proficiency and tanker experience - Training in Occupational Health and Safety - Hold a valid Passport and Transport Canada Marine Medical Strengthen safety and performance through your leadership and engineering expertise. #J-18808-Ljbffr Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2og0u4
