Job Title: Paralegal Job ID Number: BS05262026 B&S; Associates Skilled Corporation is a paralegal firm who acts on behalf of labour unions by handling their members WSIB claims at all levels, CPP cases from start through to appeals at the SST, labour arbitration, EI appeals and STD/LTD insurance claims. Primary Function: Manage WSIB files and represent clients at appeals B&S; Associates Professional Corporation is seeking an experienced Paralegal with a passion for advocacy to join our firm. As a paralegal, you will be responsible for the daily management of client files, advocacy and representation at hearings before the WSIB and the WSIAT. Requirements: · Paralegal Diploma and License in Good Standing with the Law Society of Ontario · Knowledge of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act and related legislation · 2+ years experience with WSIB/WSIAT Additional Desired Skills: · Excellent communication skills, verbal and written · Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn new programs · Knowledge of medical and legal terminology as it related to workplace insurance matters · Knowledge of research, analysis and evaluation techniques · Ability to quickly establish working relationships and client confidence · Excellent organization and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment Additional Notes: · Bilingual (English/ French) is an asset · You will be required to work out of your own office (remote work) and supply your own equipment to maintain a fully functional office (ex.
