Truck Driver -Stone Slinger (Hamilton)

Tri-Mana Construction is seeking an experienced Slinger Truck Driver / Stone Slinger Operator to support our residential concrete and drain operations. The truck will be based in Hamilton, and work will be performed at residential construction sites across Hamilton, the Niagara Region, Cambridge, Kitchener, and surrounding areas. This is a full time, non-union position for a reliable driver/operator who takes pride in safe driving, accurate material placement, and working with good equipment. The successful candidate will operate a new slinger truck (2024 Western Star Soil King) and work with Supervisors, crews, customers, and site personnel. Key Responsibilities · Operate a stone slinger truck safely and efficiently on residential construction sites · Place and spread stone/material for basement floors, garage floors, driveways, service areas, drainage work, and other construction applications · Load, transport, unload, and place construction materials as required · Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections · Complete vehicle inspection records and required daily documentation · Monitor the truck condition and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly · Perform basic routine maintenance, including fueling, cleaning, lubricating, and checking equipment as required · Operate safely around excavations, workers, equipment, traffic control, and active construction areas · Follow company safety policies, site rules, and applicable health and safety requirements · Communicate professionally with Foremen, crews, customers, subcontractors, and other site personnel Qualifications & Experience · Experience operating a stone slinger truck is mandatory · Valid Ontario AZ driver’s licence required · Clean and insurable driver’s abstract required · Construction industry experience is required · Experience with residential construction, concrete, drainage, or site servicing is considered an asset · Reliable, punctual, safety-focused, and able to work independently · Ability to complete required paperwork accurately · Mechanical aptitude and basic equipment maintenance experience are considered assets · Familiarity with Hamilton, Niagara, Cambridge, Kitchener, and surrounding routes is considered an asset · Physically capable of performing construction-related duties and working outdoors in varying weather conditions · Required PPE must be worn at all times, including CSA-approved safety footwear What We Offer Full-time, permanent employment Competitive hourly wage: $31.00 per hour New slinger truck / well-maintained equipment Hamilton-based truck Work across multiple residential construction sites Professional, safety-focused work environment Additional Information This is an existing vacancy.
