Resource Consultant (Hamilton)

Community Living Hamilton Community Living Hamilton (CLH) is the region’s largest service provider for individuals with developmental disabilities such as Down Syndrome and Autism, supporting over 1,600 adults and children each year. Position Full‑time Resource Consultant – Special Needs Resourcing team. Pay rate: $27.25 per hour. This is an existing vacancy. Responsibilities Act as a role model for inclusion and support the classroom team in implementing best practices that enable all children to participate fully in their learning and development. Qualifications Diploma in Early Childhood Education from an Ontario College of Applied Arts and Technology or an approved list of post‑secondary programs recognized by the College of Early Childhood Educators. Valid registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators. Resource Consulting certificate or equivalent. Additional training, experience or education related to working with children with special needs. Certification in First Aid including infant/child CPR. Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle. Proof of full COVID‑19 vaccination. A completion of a program other than a Resource Consultant certificate program and/or experience related to working with children with disabilities will also be considered. Additional Considerations Fluency in a second language (e.g., French). Experience working with diverse client groups. Training/education in mental health. Training/education in ASD.
